On Saturday I finally started wiring the motors, and at about 2:30 am, the machine moved under CNC control for the first time.
I have a long way to go - right now only two axes are running, and I'm using software step generation, but this means that the lathe is usable. I'm getting 48 ipm travels on both axes.
